Thermographic business cards are a bit special, thermography is a printing process that has been around for years, it gives a cheaper alternative to die stamping or letterpress printing, but still with excellent results, it gives that embossed print feel that you want from these processes, but is quicker to produce, oh & did I already say, but its cheaper as well!

Thermographic printing has several stages that it goes through to get the finished product, it combines traditional printing methods with a thermography machine. To give you the shorter version, the printed business card is dropped from the printing press onto the thermography machine conveyer belt, powder, known as thermo powder, is sprinkled onto the card, where it sticks to the wet print, then it carries on through an extremely hot oven where the thermo powder reacts with the heat & print which causes it to raise up, the card is then left to cool for a minimal time, then voila, there you have your raised printed business card.
