Gilt edge cards can be made to any size and can have a silver or gold gilt edge, they can be made to any thickness you require & can have either round or square corners. Raised thermography printing is a very popular application to the gilt edge cards which can be in black or any other colour/colours you wish. The gilt edged cards can be used for anything from wedding invitations to more formal events & matching envelopes can be supplied.
Our stock cards that we hold are in sizes A6, A5 and 7 x 5 on 400gsm premium quality board. We have in stock white board with gold or silver gilt edges, off white board with gold gilt edges and cream board with gold gilt edges.
Printing processes available for gilt edge gold or silver cards
- Flat lithographic printing – Flat printing using metal plates, in up to any 4 spot colours.
- Flat digital printing – Flat printing full colour with excellent picture quality.
- Raised thermographic printing – A raised printing process, which allows the text & images to stand out from the page with an embossed printed finish.
Designer Matt Chapman from Leeds, got in touch with us as he had been helping friends with their wedding invitations, he supplied our studio with his artwork on Wednesday, for 110 A6 white gilt edge cards with round corners printed in black thermograhy, the order was passed through to our print room, printed on Thursday, packed up & sent overnight, so he received them on Friday. Matt emailed on Friday once received the invites, very happy with them. Well done team!
